The Alabaster colourway features a warming palette of earthy tones, carefully drawn from the kimono’s original hues. Also available in Heather, Pistachio, and Dark Sage Grey.
Each roll includes four panels (A, B, C & D) to complete the full mural. To continue the design across wider walls, simply repeat the panel sequence (A B C D) with additional rolls. Panels can be trimmed at the bottom to suit the wall height and achieve the desired layout.
Archive Inspiration:
This remarkable design is based on an embroidered silk kimono made in Japan around 1900, once owned by the celebrated American socialite Emilie Grigsby (1876–1964). Known for her impeccable taste and progressive fashion sense, Emilie sourced her wardrobe from leading couturiers in London, Paris, and New York. Her extraordinary collection, including this kimono, was later donated to the V&A, where it continues to inspire today.
