Wallflower Wallpaper – Morris & Co.
Morris & Co. are delighted to reintroduce Wallflower, an 1890 wallpaper design by William Morris, returning to the collection for the first time in many years. Scrolling acanthus leaves weave around delicately rendered wallflowers, forming a pattern brimming with movement, energy, and natural vitality. Subtle dark spots add visual texture, while softened, pale foliage lends the design a sculptural, almost three-dimensional quality.
Wallflower draws inspiration from the wallpaper adorning the drawing room of Sir Emery Walker—esteemed typographer, book printer, and close friend of William Morris. Revived as part of the Emery Walker’s House collection, this historic design honours the artistic legacy and creative kinship shared between these two great figures of the Arts & Crafts movement.
