Eastern Palace Wallpaper by Zoffany
Collection: Kensington Walk Wallpapers
Eastern Palace by Sam Wilde – Inspired by the Japanese concept of fuubutsushi, which reflects the anticipation of changing seasons and the fleeting beauty of each moment, this design celebrates the natural and cultural heritage of Japan. Sam Wilde’s artwork charts the country’s four main islands, each represented by a season, and features ancient Shinto shrines, temples, and monuments alongside a rich tapestry of endemic flora and topiary. Beneath the islands lie sleeping giant kami, represented by Japan’s unique fauna, including the elusive giant catfish, giant salamander, samurai crab, and stone turtle.
Printed on an irregular grasscloth and available in the Indigo colourway, this wallcovering combines artistic storytelling with a textured, luxurious finish.
