Morris & Co. are delighted to reintroduce Borage, an original 1883 design by William Morris, now translated onto wallpaper for the very first time. This spirited floral pattern features a series of symmetrical axes, offering the eye multiple harmonious resting points and a sense of natural rhythm.
Inspired by the beauty of the natural world, Borage reflects Morris’s belief in bringing the outside in. A favourite of bees and other pollinators, the design captures the charm and vitality of the plant from which it takes its name—making it both a visual and symbolic celebration of life.
Borage returns to the Morris & Co. range as part of the collaboration with Emery Walker’s House, the historic residence of renowned typographer and Morris’s close friend, Sir Emery Walker. This collection honours their shared creative vision and enduring legacy.
